You’ve heard, perhaps, of The Seven Year Itch? This is the story of The Seven Year Search, and, thanks to Arizona Home Group, it has a happy ending.
So there we were in Palo Alto, California, thinking we needed to move to somewhere near Chandler, Arizona, to be closer to family, and I knew we needed a local agent to represent us. I can’t tell you how I found John Sposato because I don’t think I did find him, I think my guardian angel found him for me.
From the very beginning, way back in 2004, when we thought we were going to buy a new-construction Toll Brothers home, John was there to help us with good advice and wise counsel. When circumstances, no doubt divinely guided, stopped us from completing that transaction and kept us in California, John stuck with us.
Fast forward to early 2011, when we knew that it was time to move. Having stayed in touch with John through all those years made the reality seem a little surreal, but with continuing patience and optimism he escalated his already solid efforts to a new level, and together we began narrowing our searches.
You can imagine that along the way we went through this-may-be-the-one and close-but-no-cigar a few times. The tools Arizona Home Group uses were extraordinarily helpful, but even more than that was the excellent communication from John and everyone in the office.
Looking for a house over such a long period of time, there were instances when John was not available and Sharon filled in, so we were blessed to get to work with both of them, then blessed again when we did find the perfect house to work with Terry in the closing process.
Yes, we did find “the one” that was perfect for us, and working with John in the negotiations was just as good as working with him in the search. We were able to come to an agreement quickly and close in record time.

I first met Sharon at a housewarming party for some friends for whom she had just helped during their home buying process. We quickly bonded over our common hometown and became fast friends. In 2010, I decided that I was going to sell my house and attempt to move out of state. I immediately thought of Sharon as I knew she was hardworking and no-nonsense. She came over and provided insight into what I could do to make the house more ‘sellable’. She then took the time to get all of the home facts right, take great pictures and was relentless in the selling process. She ensured my home was priced right, that the viewings were scheduled so that I could maintain living in the house and that she received feedback from the buying agents quickly. She was my true advocate throughout the buying process, negotiating repairs from the inspection and esuring their completion. Sharon and her team kep me abreast of all progress and kept me sane during a VERY difficult loan process. In the meantime, Sharon also listed and was able to quickly find the perfect renter for my previous home. Sharon is a top-notch agent for whatever your needs are. This was the most painless real estate transaction I have ever experienced! It could have easily been the most difficult as we started the communication when we were living 1500 miles away. Working with John we were able to have a full day of viewing houses as soon as we landed in Phoenix. He knew what we were looking for and was more interested in our finding the perfect house than in just selling us a house.
He was very knowledgeable about the entire Phoenix Metro Area and was able to give us very usefull information about all areas of the valley. Once we had decided on the house, he and Terry worked tirelessly to help iron out the details and arrangements so that everything was set for financing.
Terry was amazing as far as making arrangements to get details handled long distance. She had reccommendations for service people that were very accommodating as well as excellent at their jobs. We found John Sposato’s website in the summer of 2009 when my husband and I wanted to move to AZ (from CA). John was courteous, “low pressure”, returned phone calls (many realtors at the time did not) and showed us some appropriate homes immediatly based on criteria we’d given him. We saw a few homes one day, fell in love with one and made an offer. It turned out there was a title issue that precluded the “owner” from selling the property. John worked tirelessly to have the title issue cleared, and got us our home very quickly.
In 2011 we decided to move back to my native FL, and again called John to assist us. I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the time and effort that you and your staff provided in our purchase of a second home in Fountain Hills. We had no idea how difficult it would be to find the property that we wanted. Dealing with foreclosures, short sales and banks who know little about the properties that they own caused a level of frustration that almost caused us to give up on the whole idea. It was especially difficult when we had to travel 1,200 miles to see anything new that came on the market. The fact that we changed our minds a couple of times about the size of the unit that we wanted certainty must have been a test of your patience.
